What is Pyrethrum Extract?

Pyrethrum (scientific name: Pyrethrum cinerariifolium Trev.) is a member of the Compositae family. Native to Europe. Shaanxi, Shandong, Heilongjiang, Jilin, Liaoning, Jiangsu, Zhejiang, Anhui, Jiangxi, Hunan, Sichuan, Guangdong and Yunnan are all cultivated in China.

Pyrethrum contains 0.6-1.3% of pyrethrin and grimethrin in its flowers. Pyrethrin, also known as pyrethrin, is a viscous oily liquid that is commonly used as an insecticide.
